Our Clinic Policies
At JS Podiatry, we believe that clarity builds trust. The following policies exist to ensure every patient knows what to expect when they choose our clinic for their care.
Privacy Policy
At JS Podiatry, your privacy is important to us. All personal and health information collected at our clinic is handled in strict accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We collect personal information — including your contact details, health history, and billing information — solely for the purpose of providing you with safe, high-quality podiatric care. Your information is stored securely within our practice management system and is never shared without your knowledge.
Where clinically appropriate, we may correspond with your GP, specialist, or other treating health professionals as part of your coordinated care. This is standard practice in healthcare and is covered by your consent to treatment. Reports to third parties such as insurers, lawyers, or NDIS providers are only released upon receipt of a signed authorisation from you.
All JS Podiatry staff are bound by strict confidentiality obligations that extend beyond their time at the clinic.
For full details on how we collect, store, use, and protect your information — including your right to access your own records — please contact us.
Cancellation Policy
We reserve each appointment exclusively for you, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to us and to other patients waiting for care.
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You can notify us by calling 08 6263 4686, emailing info@jspodiatry.com, or responding to your appointment reminder SMS.
An $80 fee applies to late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) and missed appointments. As a courtesy, this fee is waived on the first occasion; however, a reminder of this policy will be sent, and the fee will apply from any subsequent occurrence.
We understand that genuine emergencies happen. Discretionary waivers may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the Principal Podiatrist's discretion.
To reschedule, please contact us as early as possible so we can offer your time to another patient in need.
Custom Orthotic Warranty
Custom orthotics prescribed at JS Podiatry are fabricated to a high clinical standard and are backed by a clear warranty.
Laboratory-fabricated orthotics carry a 24-month warranty on the shell and a 6-month warranty on the top cover. In-house 3D-printed orthotics carry a 12-month warranty on the shell and a 6-month warranty on the top cover. All warranties commence from the date of fitting.
With appropriate care and regular review, custom orthotics are designed to last. Patients can generally expect laboratory-fabricated devices to remain functional for up to 4–5 years, and in-house printed devices for up to 3–4 years. We recommend an annual orthotic review to assess ongoing fit and top cover condition.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and structural failure under normal use. It does not cover normal wear and tear, patient modifications, use in inappropriate footwear, or failure to attend follow-up reviews.
To make a warranty enquiry, please call us on 08 6263 4686 or email info@jspodiatry.com.
