About JS Podiatry
JS Podiatry is a family-run podiatry practice which was established in 2017 by owner and podiatrist - Johan Steenkamp.
“ After working within a variety of podiatry practices and hospitals for over 8 years, I had a vision for a podiatry practice which strived for excellence and professionalism with a passion for getting people back to the active lives they love.”
It was the realisation of a dream when Johan decided to take the leap into starting up his private practice - JS Podiatry - in 2015. From its humble beginnings, JS Podiatry has grown into an established practice, offering some of the latest treatment modalities and gait analysis equipment in podiatry. We pride ourselves on providing excellent podiatry care with a patient-centred approach within a warm and friendly environment. Our podiatrists have extensive experience working in private and public healthcare settings.
JS Podiatry operates from within Spine & Sports East Perth located in the heart of Perth.
We understand what it is like to be in pain, uncomfortable, limited, or concerned. Our podiatrists combine clinical and sports podiatry to deliver a treatment plan that will address symptoms and have you active and pain-free as soon as possible. From elite athletes to children and patients with chronic conditions, we are committed to finding a solution to your foot problem. Johan's wife, Marisa, works hard in the background juggling the practice bookkeeping while raising their two little girls Lara and Mikayla.
JS Podiatry works collaboratively with allied health colleagues within Spine & Sports East Perth. From time to time, in consultation with you, we may recommend seeing one of our colleagues if we think it will be beneficial to your care.
While we are a private private-billing clinic, we do accept Medicare and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) referrals.
Please note that patients with Medicare referrals have a gap payment as the consult is charged in full. We attempt to Claim the Medicare portion of the consult for you, provided we have a fully completed CDM (Chronic Disease Management) plan from your GP, your Medicare card, as well as registered savings account card.
We have on-the-spot private health fund rebates available through our HICAPS terminal. Simply bring your private health fund card with you to your appointment and our friendly reception team will do the rest. Please make sure to contact your health fund if you are not sure whether you have podiatry cover.
